Cold-Water Prawns – Pandalus Borealis

The cold-water prawn is a pure, healthy coldwater species that is caught along the Norwegian coast, in the fjords and in the Barents Sea. The prawn is one of the biggest of its kind and feeds primarily on plankton, krill and microscopic worms. It can grow up to 16 centimeters in length.

 

Cold-water prawn fishing is carried out year-round and the most common product is freshly packed prawns. The cold-water prawn is rich in protein, Vitmain A, D E and B12, calcium and selenium.
